O holy night, the stars are brightly shining;
It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth!
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees, O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born!
O night divine,
O night,
O night divine!
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His Name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy Name!
Christ is the Lord! Let ever, ever praise we!
Noel, Noel
And in His Name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy Name!
Christ is the Lord! Let ever, ever praise we!

O Night, O Night Divine
Noel, Noel
O night O night divine
Noel, Noel
O night, O night divine

I love the voices of Celtic Woman. Their voices are like angels. They sing this song like no other I have ever heard. Listen to the meaning in the song. It truly was a night divine. And it brings meaning to this season. What are some of your favorite Christmas songs? I have others. Many others. This one is at the top of the list for me. When I was a child and teenager, I dreaded this song. It wasn't fun or upbeat like Jingle Bells or Rudolph. Not that there is anything wrong with those, they are way up on the list! As I became a young adult, we put together a choir at work. I can't sing a lick but was an instigator in putting the choir together with Susan Justus, Paula, Donna and Debbie Smith, Virginia Kellogg Linda Sue Jaggers, Regina Hunt, Ron, Rob, Tommy, and others... James Jarrett and John Madison we others. Over the years we had 3 or 4 good years together. We put on a program on Friday evening before Christmas and went to the nursing homes around Bowling Green. We had administration support. That baby grand piano in the auditorium was purchased for us. We learned this song. Let me tell you, the alto part is much easier to sing than the soprano! Ah, fond memories! Giggles, laughing uncontrollably!
I love all y'all!
Merry Christmas!
To be continued..........
