So I am on this family heritage information thing right now. This is not my blood family, but the family I spent 25 years part of. This is my husbands and children's family. I will describe who is who under each photo.

| Generations 1 and 2 (of photos) Left is the Rev Elias Bolin Sanders (Carlos-Rick's dad's grandfather - Rick's great grandfather) Right is William Buckner "Buck" Sanders (Carolos's dad-Rick's grandpa.) If you remember any stories Rick told over the years, the man on the right is the grandpa he lived with part of his growing up. The time when he "ran from grandpa" was this man. He is the one who followed him to the tree he was in hiding after pushing Teresa and she fell putting her head through the sheet rock wall. This is the man who called Rick to get out of bed once or twice one morning and he didn't get up so Rick got water thrown on him, after that all he had to do was call him and Rick jumped right up. The man on the left was Rick's great grandfather and he was a preacher. If I am not mistaken, he is also the grandfather of "Little Roy Sanders" who was a beloved preacher in Edmonson County. That is how Rick was kin to Nelson and Clifton Sanders. |
