I had a nice surprise yesterday when I got up. Nick had brought home about a gallon of freshly picked strawberries. They were Bobbie Joe's berries so the plants originally came from Rick. They are so good, sweet, juicy. I had berries 3 times yesterday and twice today so far. Yum! They are a type of berry that has been passed from neighbor to neighbor and back again in this area for decades. The man who shared them with us said they are called Honey O's he thought. They sure are good!
I found out at prayer meeting that I missed church on Sunday. I guess I never thought about it being the 5th Sunday. I thought I knew when those were coming up. I was wrong. I felt bad about missing!
I think this is all for tonight. Y'all please remember the family of the young man from Hart Co. whose body was found over the weekend in Green River. Thankful that they finally have closure, but saddened by the death.
Also please continue to remember Steve Miller and his family in your prayers as he continues to recover from a stroke.
Remember us in your prayers as well. We will remember you as well.
Romans 1:9For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
I love all y'all!
To be continued...........
Those strawberries look yummy. I got some at the grocery the other day, but they were not good at all. I think I will try to go to Jackson's Orchard this weekend and pick some up from there, they should be much better.
ReplyDeleteI am glad to hear that you are doing better. I guess you are ready to go back to work, me I wish I could stay home. But, I will be going on vacation in a few weeks so stress relief is coming!
Got some from Jackson's last week, they were pretty good, better than grocery store berries but not as good as home grown...
